Chicken Skewers
Make the whole dinner using only skewers. Juicy, tender chicken skewers are just dinner perfect.

Easy chicken skewers

Ingredients:
- 3 medium cloves garlic finely minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons finely minced fresh ginger
- 3 pounds chicken
Instructions:
- Cut chicken breasts into 1 ½ inch srtips. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl combine all marinade ingredients & stir to combine. Mix until fully combined.
- Add chicken in the bowl. Mix the chicken to evenly coat with marinade.
- Cover the bowl with foil paper or kitchen towel, place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight.
- After marination, thread chicken in the skewers.
- Heat a grill pan or nonstick frypan to high-medium heat. Spray cooking oil.
- Place skewers on the grill and cook. Cook each quarter for 3-4 minutes. Almost 10-12 minutes to cook chicken properly.
- During grilling time brush chicken with remaining marinade sauce.
- Remove chicken skewers from grill & rest for 2-3 minutes.
- Drizzle with sesame seeds & serve Chicken Skewers.
Notes:
- I am using boneless skinless chicken breasts. Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts.
- If you are using wooden skewers, then soak the skewers for 30 minutes before cooking. It will prevent skewers from burning.
- Bush chicken pieces with marinated sauce or oil. Not the grill pan.
- Vegetables like bell pepper, onion, zucchini, and carrots can be used with chicken.
Storage tips:
- Leftovers will remain fresh in an airtight container for up to 6 hours in the fridge.
- It's a freezer friendly recipe. Store marinated chicken in a ziploc bag or container in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
- Reheat: Remove stored chicken from fridge ,rest for a while. Thread into skewers & cook.
