Ground Beef Casserole
This super easy & quick ground beef casserole recipe is perfect for family gatherings & weeknights. It's comforting. Make it with basic & available ingredients.
Ground Beef Casserole

SERVES:5 person
Ingredients:
- 2 Cup Conchiglie pasta(shell shape pasta)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup salsa
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- 2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
- In a large depth, pot boil 5-6 cups of water. Put 1 tsp cooking oil & pinch of salt in the boiling boil, stir. Put pasta in water. Boil until cooked properly. Drain excess water.
- Preheat oven at 350℉. Spray cooking oil or butter in your casserole & set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil. Saute onion & garlic for a minutes\.
- Add ground beef, salt, Italian seasoning. Cook with a lid for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Put 1 tsp salsa & stir. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the stove, when beef is 80% cooked.
- Mix boiled pasta, beef, salsa, tomato puree, and seasoning. Combine well, so that all ingredients are corporated.
- Spread some salsa in the bottom of the casserole. Put a layer of pasta & beef mixture, topped with some cheese. Again a layer of pasta & beef layer,then cheese.
- Cover the casserole with foil paper & bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Serves with fresh coriander or more cheese.
Notes:
- I boil pasta as per recipe instructions. Because oil prevents stickiness & salt faster boiling process. You can boil it in your own way. Or cooked pasta according to packet instructions.
- Always put the pasta in boiling water. Don't put the pasta in cold water.
- You can use veggies like bell pepper, carrots, long beans, mushrooms.
- If you like spices, use more seasoning, chilli flakes.
Storage Tips:
- The leftover ground beef casserole can be stored in a container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
- Reheat serve size ground beef casserole for 15-20 minutes in the microwave.
- This recipe is absolutely a freezer-friendly dish. Divide serve size beef & pasta mixture on a baking sheet, topped with cheese. Freeze properly. Store in a Ziploc bag for 1-month maximum.
- Reheat frozen ground beef casserole for 1 minute or until cheese melts.
