Ingredients:

Apple Butter Pound Cake


Cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup spiced apple butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 package cream cheese softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1½ teaspoons light corn syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla or whiskey

Instructions:

Step01-Make Glaze:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 10-inch tube pan or 12-cup Bundt pan with butter. Finally dust some flour. 
  • In a small bowl put powdered sugar, milk, light corn syrup & vanilla & whisk for minutes. Set aside.

Step01-Make batter:

  • In a large bowl gather flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt & mix. In another bowl, whisk apple butter and vanilla for a couple of minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, butter, and cream cheese for 3-5 minutes or until a fluffy texture. Add eggs, beating well. Add flour mixture & mix then apple butter mixture, mixing at low speed until blended. Stir in pecans.

Step03-Bake the cake:

  • Spoon batter into prepared pan. Make a line in batter & put apple butter. Bake 60 to 70 minutes. Place baked cake in a rack for 10 minutes to cool completely. 
  • Drizzle glaze over theApple Butter Pound Cake & taste it.
