Spiced Honey Caramel and banana pudding

Spiced Honey Caramel and little banana pudding trifles will fill up your curve. I’m not sure if the banana pudding is usually a fall thing, but it’s so nostalgic and comforting and the spiced caramel sauce just amplifies all that. The caramel is also good drizzled over like, anything. Ice cream, brownies. A spoon. So good!

Caramel Sauce

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 6 tbsp cold butter diced

  • ¼ cup heavy cream

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • ⅛ tsp nutmeg

  • Pinch of salt

Banana Pudding

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 3 large egg yolks lightly beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 box vanilla wafers crushed

  • 5-6 large bananas sliced

Whipped Cream

  • 1 cups heavy cream

  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla


Step 01-Caramel Sauce & whipped Cream:

  • In a medium-size pan over medium heat, add sugar. Stir continuously until sugar is melt. Add a cube of butter & stir. Add cream. Cook for minutes. Remove from the stove & add honey, salt, cinnamon. 
  • Transfer in a jar & set aside.
  • In a blender put heavy cream & beat for 1 minute. Add powdered sugar, vanilla & beat until getting a fluffy texture. 

Step02-Banana Pudding:

  • In a large pan mix flour, sugar, salt. Add egg yolk & stir. Finally, add milk & cook. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until a creamy pudding-like thickness.
  • Remove from the stove & cover the pudding with a plastic wrap over the surface of the pudding.
  • Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.


  • Spoon a layer of banana pudding into the bottom of the serving cups. Sprinkle with crushed vanilla wafer, whipped cream, caramel sauce, sliced banana. Layer the pudding according to serving cup size.
  • Drizzle some more whipped cream & caramel sauce & serve cold.

Tips & Tricks:

Stir continuously with caramel sauce. Don’t burn it.

After cooking Banan Pudding surely cover its surface with plastic wrap.

Storage Tips: 

Caramel Sauce can be stored in a sealed container at room temperature.

Store Banana Pudding items separately. Store Banana Pudding, covered with plastic wrap in the fridge.

Whipped can not be stored. Make it & serve immediately.

Serve Banana Pudding with stored items as per recipe.
