Tips & Tricks:
- Any type of bread goes perfectly with this French toast recipe.
- White Bread: I prefer white bread for French toast for its neutral flavor & easy absorption.
- Brioche: Brioche rich French Toast with sweetness. For making baked French toast, use Brioche.
- Wheat Bread: For a hearty & healthy French toast, try with wheat bread.
- ⅔ - ¾ inch thick fresh bread slices are standard for toast.
- Be careful not to over mix French toast custard otherwise toasts get tough, dense. Lumpy custard is not ok.
- Always use room temperature Eggs & milk in French Toast, to prevent French toast from being burnt during frying.
- For a nice brunt-free texture toast uses a non-stick frypan.
- Hand Blender, food processor, whisker, even a fork can be used to make toast custard.
- I am using powdered sugar to save time. If you are using normal sugar then whisk until sugar dissolves.
- For saving time, fry in a baking sheet or bake in an oven. Bake for 20 minutes in 300℉.
- Cut bread into pieces to easily dip in custard & flip.
- Don`t flip toast too much during frying.
- Topping: Every person has their custom topping ideas for morning toast. Spread Nutella or jam or cream cheese on toast & decor with strawberry, blueberry, banana, kiwi, raspberry.
- Dry fruits like Hazelnuts, Almonds, coconut flakes, peanut butter taste good with basic French toast.
- Drizzle Maple syrup, Honey, or Chocolate syrup with French Toast for extra softness
